PLEASE NOTE:
The MIT campus in the Kendall Square area is undergoing a major renovation.
There are an incredible number of campus construction projects ongoing.
Please be mindful of where you are walking and pay attention to police details.

Where will the roundtable be held?
The program will be held in MIT's Samberg Conference Center located on 50 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA 02142. E52 can be found on MIT's interactive Campus Map

Appropriate attire is business casual; no ties or suit coats are necessary.

What if I have a dietary restriction or allergy?
Please email Nancy Martin.

Are accommodations provided?
No, each person is responsible for his/her own accommodations.

Where should I stay?
Please see Visiting MIT for many helpful links to, well, visiting MIT.

Where is the nearest airport?
Boston's Logan International Airport.

What is the best way to travel from the airport to campus?
To get to MIT from the airport, we suggest taking a cab. The trip will take anywhere from 15-30 minutes, and the fare is roughly $35. The cab fare from Logan is always a bit more than the return, because a surcharge at the airport and a tunnel toll add approximately $5 to the total fare.

UberX is now allowed pick-up service at Logan International Airport.

If you prefer public transportation, use airport transit to arrive at South Station and then take the MBTA (T) Red Line to the Kendall/MIT stop.

What is the best way to travel to the airport?
We suggest taking a cab or shared ride service to arrive at the airport in 20-25 minutes. There are two cab stands - one on either side of the Marriott, on Broadway or on Main Street, both a short walk from E62. Alternately, during high traffic times, take the Red Line from Kendall/MI) and transfer to the Silver Line SL-1 at South Station. The Silver Line has service every fifteen minutes for all airport terminals. This trip takes about 60 minutes from MIT.

Please allow two hours for a domestic flight (three hours for an international flight) between adjournment and your return flight.

Should I rent a car?
We do not recommend renting a car.

If I drive, how do I get there and where can I park?
Use maps.google.com or GPS to find your best route.
The nearest self-parking garage is the Kendall Square South Garage, located at 350 Kendall Street, Cambridge.
Rates are $27 for 3-10 hours; $30 for 10-24 hours.

Additional Materials and Miscellaneous Information

MBTA public transit map - MIT is the Kendall stop on the Red Line. You may want to explore Cambridge and Boston while here. One-way fare for a bus is $2.25 and $2.75 for the subway. There are ticket kiosks located at all subway stations (the kiosks themselves can be quite an adventure). If you will only be using the subway for one round trip, select "other" for the amount and put in $5.50.

Local restaurants:
There are many fine restaurants in Cambridge and Boston. Here are a few local restaurants that you may want to consider (we're not advocating for these, just letting you know about them):

Champions Restaurant - A sports-themed restaurant adjacent to the Cambridge Marriott.
Legal Seafood - Excellent seafood, 5 Cambridge Center, at the corner of Main and Ames Streets.
