The 2017 hurricane season has offered a multi-dimensional challenge to the public and private supply chains that serve the affected communities. With each storm offering a different mix of challenges, and the combined effect of overlapping events, the leaders of these various supply chains will be updating their playbooks for future disasters. The Humanitarian Response Lab in the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics is hosting this event to convene supply chain leaders from the public and private sectors to share experiences, develop insights, and explore how better information sharing and resource coordination can accelerate the restoration of business operations that serve disaster-affected populations.
