The potential impact of blockchain technology, a new generation of miniature sensors, supply chain’s role in redefining organizations for the digital revolution, and new advances in 3D printing, are some of the developments that supply chain professionals will learn about at Crossroads 2017, April 4, 2017, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA.
The one-day event brings together experts from MIT, the world’s foremost center for technological innovation, and the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics (MIT CTL), the global leader in supply chain education and research, to offer this truly unique learning opportunity.
“In its thirteen-year history, Crossroads has become the industry’s most compelling forum for the ideas that will shape tomorrow's supply chains,” says Yossi Sheffi, Elisha Gray II Professor of Engineering Systems, MIT, and Director of MIT CTL. “Crossroads 2017 showcases technologies and strategies that industry professionals need to be aware of.”
Stay ahead of the curve - and the competition - by registering now for Crossroads 2017, April 4, 2017, Tang Center, MIT, Cambridge, MA, the supply chain industry’s premier forum for ground-breaking ideas. For further information contact Nancy Martin at nlmartin@mit.edu.
About Crossroads
Crossroads is where you will discover how emerging innovations in fields such as automation, energy generation, education, materials science, robotics, and sensor technology intersect with supply chain management (SCM). For example, the event showcased 3D printing before it became a high-profile innovation in the field, and introduced advances in materials science that have since helped companies to develop products. New thinking in urban logistics that was on the Crossroads agenda several years ago is now helping to shape mega-city supply chains.
No other event provides this blend of expertise - one reason why the Crossroads conference series has become the SCM community's most important forum for new ideas since its inception more than 13 years ago.
Please note, the registration fee will be waived for members of the MIT community, CTL alumni, Supply Chain Exchange Partners, and their guests.
Members of ISM-Boston, CSCMP-NERT, CONECT, and APICS (North Shore, South Shore, Boston) have a special attendance rate of $100.
The regular fee is $1,000.

FAQs

The Annual Partner Meeting will be held at the MIT Industrial Meeting Center in Building E90 room 1208b, located on the 12th floor of One Main Street, Cambridge. The Crossroads Conference will be held in the Wong Auditorium in the MIT Tang Center Building (E51) located at 70 Memorial Drive.

When booking your return flight, take into consideration the following recommendations for travel time and security checks at Logan: allow two hours for a domestic flight and three hours for an international flight.
Are accommodations provided?
No, guests are responsible for their own hotel accommodations.
Where should I stay?
Boston Marriott Cambridge
Two Cambridge Center
50 Broadway
Cambridge, MA 02142
617-494-6600
For additional accommodation listings, please see Visiting CTL; however, please note that the room rates do not vary greatly for those hotel properties in proximity to MIT.
Where is the nearest airport?
Boston's Logan International Airport.
What is the best way to travel from the airport?
To get to MIT from the airport, we strongly suggest taking a cab. The trip will take anywhere from 15-30 minutes, and the fare is roughly $30-35. The cab fare from Logan is always a bit more than the return, because a surcharge at the airport and a tunnel toll add approximately $5 to the total fare.
If you live locally and prefer public transportation, take the MBTA Red Line to the Kendall/MIT stop. It is a short three block walk from the T.
Should I rent a car?
We do not recommend renting a car. The expense on top of poorly marked streets and lack of available parking makes having a car more of a nuisance than a convenience.
If I drive, how do I get there and where can I park?
If you are renting a car or will be driving, MapQuest and Google Maps offer excellent mapping services to get you from your doorstep to MIT. The physical address of the Media Lab is 75 Amherst Street, Cambridge, MA.
The nearest self-parking garage is The Green Garage, adjacent to the Cambridge Marriott (50 Broadway). Rates are as follows:
- 3 Hours $30.00
- 10 Hours $35.00
- 24 Hours $40.00
This garage is not owned or operated by the Marriott.
Addresses for your mapping requests: 50 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA and the nearest parking garage is adjacent to 50 Broadway, Cambridge.
What should I wear?
Appropriate attire is business casual; no ties or suit coats are necessary.
What if I have a dietary restriction or allergy?
If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please email MIT CTL Events Coordinator, Nancy Martin, nlmartin@mit.edu to let her know.
What is the payment policy?
