Abstract

“The devil is in the details” is a common phrase that connotes a negative viewpoint when having to deal with detail. However, when it comes to the use of downstream information —such as Point-of-Sale (POS), wholesaler warehouse withdrawals, and third party syndicated data—the detailed and granular data it provides can be leveraged, in a very positive way, to support decision-making that improves demand planning and future sales performance.
