Supply Chain Frontiers issue #15. Read all articles in this issue.

The two latest recruits to the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics’ Supply Chain Exchange, LXP and Manhattan Associates, bring the number of Exchange members to more than 40.

The Exchange is a community of companies that receive special access to research carried out by the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics. These organizations are in poll position to leverage CTL research into competitive advantage. “Clearly the benefits of partnering with CTL in this way are real, since membership of the Exchange continues to grow steadily,” said David Riquier, Director, Corporate Outreach, CTL. Some enterprises have been partnering with CTL for over a decade.

The benefits include interaction with the Center’s researchers on issues of particular interest to your organization, tremendous networking opportunities with peer professionals, student recruiting programs, and invitations to a range of events that keep your supply chain people trained and up-to-date on the latest supply chain thinking.  The cost is $25,000 per year, and includes 10 complimentary subscriptions to Supply Chain Strategy newsletter (a value of $2,950) plus a free seat annually at one of CTL’s executive education courses (value up to $2,995).  And hiring just one MLOG student, said Riquier, can cost justify several years of Exchange membership.

The Exchange also provides a platform for higher levels of engagement with CTL. This “ground floor” program leads to more intimate partnering opportunities, where companies are actively involved in the Center’s research portfolio.
