Two Research Associates have joined CTL to work on the Center's expanding portfolio of supply chain research projects.

Mahender Singh received his PhD from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he taught Operations Management. He is a graduate of the MIT's Master of Engineering in Logistics program. With over six years experience in the supply chain management field, he has worked on multiple global supply chain projects to analyze and redesign planning systems. As Delivery Manager at i2 Technologies, he executed more than 10 large supply chain management assignments. Singh is particularly interested in exploring the underlying structure of complex supply chains, and is playing a key role in the MIT Supply Chain 2020 project, which is mapping the evolution of supply chains over the next two decades.

Edgar Blanco has more than eight years experience of analyzing and improving logistics systems and managing multi-disciplinary teams in the field. His professional experience includes management roles with Retek Inc., Velant, and BellSouth Telecommunications, and consulting projects that involved the development of decision support and production control systems. He received his PhD and a Masters degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Masters degree from the Universidad de Los Andes, Bogota, Colombia. Blanco is involved in several CTL research initiatives, including a project on postponement which he is managing.
