Humanitarian flier

In this MicroMasters® course live event, we are very fortunate to have a conversation with the MIT Humanitarian Supply Chain Lab (HSCL).

Drs. Bateman and Borrella will host the MIT HSCL team - Dr. Jarrod Goentzel (Founder and Director), Mr. Tim Russell (Research Engineer), and Ms. Chelsey Graham (Research Engineer) to discuss their work. Since the start of 2020, amidst a global health pandemic, numerous extreme weather events, and extensive supply chain disruption, humanitarian response has been more critical than ever and HSCL has been activated in numerous response events.

In this discussion, we will hear key insights into how HSCL works with private and public organizations to respond during a crisis, what supply chain data and methods they use, and how that enables better decision-making during high-stakes events as well as future planning.

The event will be an engaging conversations with some background of their work, live Q&A, polls, and an opportunity for learners to ask the team questions about their work.

This event is offered as part of the MITx MicroMasters® Program in Supply Chain Management.
