Complex system models can play an important role in assessing the overall system performance and influence design and policy change. This research talk presents ongoing collaborative system modeling and analysis activities between Xerox Innovation Group and Xerox Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain Group. The talk will start with the general introduction of Xerox Global Supply Chain, the supply chain simulation model overview, and two case studies that utilized the simulation model to generate informed recommendation to improve level of service and/or overall supply chain cost. The presentation concludes with challenges and success factors for organization wide acceptance and implementation of proposed model and systems thinking.
