The first talk in MIT CTL's Distinguished Speakers series is here! As Supply Chain Executive at Lowe’s Companies, Inc., Steve Szilagyi oversees a logistics and distribution network that serves all 1,745 Lowe’s stores. During this talk, Steve will discuss the critical role of leadership as well as his 25+ years of supply chain experience.
Steve Szilagyi was named Lowe’s Supply Chain Executive in January 2013. He is responsible for serving the team that leads Lowe’s inventory management, transportation and distribution operations.
Szilagyi began his career at Lowe’s in 2001 as regional Director of Distribution. He was named Vice President of Distribution in 2002 and Senior Vice President in 2006. He has more than 25 years of supply chain experience, including leadership roles prior to joining Lowe’s in wholesale distribution and retail/consumer products supply chain consulting services.
Szilagyi earned a bachelor’s degree in materials and logistics management from Michigan State University.
In addition to the service to Lowe’s, Steve also serves on the boards of the National Organization on Disability in New York, NY and the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson, NC.
