Abstract

Supply Chain Frontiers issue #49

The Malaysian Institute of Supply Chain Innovation (MISI) participated in the annual Company of the Year Competition organized by JA Worldwide.

The 2013 competition took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on February 25 to 27. Seventeen teams from the Asia Pacific region – Singapore, Indonesia, Guam, Sri Lanka, Korea, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Turkmenistan, and Malaysia – competed for the award.

Dr. Ioannis N. Lagoudis, Director of Applied Research, MISI, joined eight other members of the judging committee to select the top three companies. The evaluation process consisted of four rounds: company report, stage presentation, team interview, and trade booth display.

Following the three-day evaluation process, the winner company was UniStyle from Turkmenistan, followed by Sleepy Monkey from Thailand, and Home from Guam.

MISI is delighted to have participated in this highly successful event, which showcases brilliant young students from the Asia-Pacific region. MISI fully supports events and activities like these, which foster the region’s entrepreneurial spirit and contribute to local, regional, and global societies.
