Abstract

Supply Chain Frontiers issue #46

The MIT Supply Chain Excellence Award is a new scholarship that will be given annually at Penn State University to the most outstanding graduating senior supply chain major. The award entitles the winner to a tuition scholarship of $20,000 toward the MIT Supply Chain Management (SCM) Master’s Degree program.

Restricted to US citizens, the award-winning student must be accepted into the SCM program. Because the SCM program requires candidates to have proven supply chain work experience, scholarship winners are allowed to apply to and be admitted into the SCM program with deferred enrollment – while they gain 2–5 years of work experience.

Finalists will be contacted by Penn State faculty and asked to submit a résumé, a transcript, and a short essay. The final selection will be made jointly by Penn State and MIT, and the winner will be announced just prior to Penn State’s graduation ceremony.

MIT’s SCM program is looking to introduce more scholarships in partnership with other schools.
