Supply Chain Frontiers issue #44
Vivek Radhakrishnan, a student in the MIT / Zaragoza International Logistics Program, Zaragoza, Spain, was on the supply chain category winning team in the Vestas Winnovation Challenge 2012, held in Aarhus, Denmark, February 2012.
Winnovation is a global competition for master’s degree engineering students hosted by wind energy company Vestas. Participants were invited to tackle real wind energy industry challenges in the areas of quality excellence in product development, supply chain management, and production. Of the hundreds of applicants from 40 countries, 27 finalists were selected for the grand final.
ZLOG students Kristin Bautista, Sergio Tovar, and Andrés Vadillo, and SCM students Ariahna Knight and Alexandria Titova, also competed in the final.
This is the second consecutive year that ZLOG students have made it to the finals of the annual Vestas contest.
