Abstract

Supply Chain Frontiers issue #36.

At the April 2010 CEO Summit organized by the LOGyCA-Center for Latin-American Logistics Innovation (LOGyCA-CLI), company leaders will share business strategies with their peers and get valuable feedback from industry experts on the strategic role of logistics.

The CEO Summit will take place April 7–8, 2010, in Bogotá, Colombia. This event’s unique format is designed to ensure that attendees have the opportunity to learn from real-world case studies and to discuss how logistics connects with corporate strategy.

When a company confirms that it will participate in the CEO Summit, LOGyCA-CLI researchers generate a profile of the enterprise and its business operations. The profile is sent to Dr. Santiago Kraiselburd, Executive Director of the Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC), Zaragoza, Spain, and a leading international expert on logistics and supply chain management.

During the event, participants will give a short presentation about their particular business and its main challenges. Kraiselburd will provide commentary based on the company profile and the presentation, with particular emphasis on logistics as a source of competitive advantage. The combination of case study material, expert advice, and informed discussion will provide a rich learning experience for attendees.
