Kellen Betts

Kellen Betts is a Course Lead in the MITx MicroMasters® Program in Supply Chain Management and custom online courses for CTL partners. He is currently leading Supply Chain Technology and Systems: SC4x and has previously led Supply Chain Dynamics: SC3x.

Kellen also supports research at the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics with the MIT Omnichannel Supply Chain Lab. His research experience includes the Warehouse of the Future Initiative, circular supply chains, the annual State of Supply Chain Sustainability report, and sustainable aviation fuels

Kellen is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Artificial Intelligence at Johns Hopkins University, with a focus on agentic AI, robotics, machine learning, cognitive foundations, ethics, and assured autonomy (security and safety). Previously, he completed an MS in Applied Mathematics at the University of Washington and an MS in Global Supply Chain Management at Portland State University.

Kellen has over fourteen years of industry experience in various supply chain and analytics roles, with technology startups, a small manufacturing business, and large corporations, including REI, Zulily, PACCAR, and his family's boat-building business.

Kellen is also an endurance athlete who competes in mountain running and cross-country skiing events. He recently completed the 2025 Moab 240-mile endurance run in Utah.
