Program Design & Differentiation

What makes Corporate Edge different from off-the-shelf training?

With Corporate Edge, we design the curriculum based on the company goals and needs; whether it’s for upskilling, reskilling, onboarding, talent development, or just establishing a common language and shared mindset across teams within the company. In addition, these custom courses are fully flexible in terms of start date, duration, synchronous and live interactions, and assessments. In contrast, off-the-shelf programs have these elements predefined.

Who should pursue custom courses in supply chain management?

Custom courses are designed for organizations that want to develop supply chain capabilities tailored to their unique needs. They are ideal for teams or cohorts sponsored by a manager or HR leader, ensuring that participants receive structured learning aligned with the company’s goals.

How is the performance of a participant measured?

Assessments can be customized to align with the company’s goals, and can include options such as quizzes, graded assignments, and exams.

Delivery & Logistics

How do we get started?

Connect with us through our contact form. A member of our team will then contact you to schedule a meeting to better understand your goals.

If you have previously participated in our programs, please contact Laura Allegue Lara, Corporate Edge Coordinator directly.

What is the exact mode of delivery?

The program is delivered online through a mix of asynchronous and synchronous learning experiences. The asynchronous component includes video lectures by MIT professors, practice problems, and homework assignments, delivered through an online learning platform. Each course is facilitated by an MIT course lead who guides the cohort. In addition, the program can incorporate synchronous live events, where the cohort will learn from and interact with researchers at MIT. The balance between asynchronous and synchronous components can be customized to each company’s needs.

How long are the customized courses?

The duration of the course can be customized to meet your company’s needs, but on an average they are 6-12 weeks long.

What is the expected time commitment?

The time commitment can be customized to meet your team’s needs. On an average, at least 2-3 hours of dedicated work per week.

Can we have breaks within courses?

Yes, the course schedule can include breaks to align with a company’s busy season, emergencies, holidays, etc.

What is the pricing of the program?

Pricing is customized based on the course structure and requirements of your organization.

What is the size of a typical cohort?

The typical cohort is approximately 50-100 participants.

What are the technical requirements?

The requirements vary by course. Most courses use basic tools such as Excel spreadsheets. For machine learning courses, participants may also need SQL or Python. We mostly use and suggest open source or free access software when needed (such as LibreOffice and Orange).

Information on the required and suggested software will be provided in advance to the in-company sponsor or lead, in case internal approvals are required from the company IT team. The course lead will provide guidance on how to download and install any required software.

Is there an accreditation or credential at the end of a course?

Yes, participants who successfully complete their company’s custom course and pass the required assessments will receive a virtual certificate of completion from our program.

Support & Resources

What support is offered during the program?

Each cohort is guided by a dedicated MIT course lead who provides academic and technical support via email throughout the program. Participants also receive weekly course updates highlighting upcoming topics and live sessions to foster engagement.

Additionally, discussion forums are available on the platform within each course topic to provide opportunities for exchanging ideas with peers. Optionally, we can provide live office hours with the course lead or other MIT subject matter expert to answer questions about the course content and its applications, and help walk through assignments.

Can a sponsor track team progress throughout the course?

Yes, upon request, a company sponsor can receive a customized report on learner and/or team status throughout the course.
