Tristan Downing is a Research Assistant at the Humanitarian Supply Chain Lab at MIT CTL. He is also pursuing his Master of Science in Technology and Policy at the MIT Institute of Data, Systems and Society (IDSS). His current research focuses on mapping household resilience in the Feed the Future Uganda project.
Prior to joining CTL, Tristan completed a MEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cambridge. He has previously worked at the Cambridge Development Initiative running their WASH project in Dar es Salaam, co-founded the charity Kite International, worked in transitional housing design for TECHO in Latin America, and worked as an engineering consultant for the UK company TTP.
