Postdoctoral Associate, Megacity Logistics Lab

Mohammad Moshref-Javadi joined the Megacity Logistics Lab at the Center for Transportation and Logistics as a Postdoctoral Associate in 2017. His research includes the design and analysis of logistics and supply chain systems, network optimization, and heuristic design. Currently, his research is focused on routing optimization in customer-center last-mile delivery logistics to reduce delivery time. 

Dr. Moshref-Javadi has five years of consulting/analytics experience in several technology adoption projects in the US. The projects include scheduling, vehicle routing, decision support system, simulation-optimization, warehouse design, and multi-criteria decision making.

Dr. Moshref-Javadi received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University in 2017 with an outstanding research award from the College of Engineering at Purdue University. He also received the best paper award in Supply Chain and Logistics Track in the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering Conference in 2016. Dr. Moshref-Javadi’s research has been published in several academic journals, such as the European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research, and International Journal of Production Research.
