Karla M. Gámez-Pérez is a Postdoctoral Associate at the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics. She has over eight years teaching experience in operations management as assistant professor in the Science and Engineering School at Monterrey Tech, México. She has also collaborated with public institutions and industry to improve their processes. Her current research focuses on green logistics with the purpose of improving fuel consumption and CO2 emissions in logistics operations.
Dr. Gámez-Pérez holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Science with focus on Sustainable transportation from Monterrey Tech. She received her Masters degree in Engineering with focus on Quality and Production from the School of Engineering and Sciences at Monterrey Tech. She holds a Masters in Business Administration from the same Institution, where she was approved with Honors. She also received the CILOG-Best Paper Award 2016 issued by the Mexican Logistics and Supply Chain Association as recognition for the best research paper.
