Camilo A. Mora-Quiñones is a PhD visiting student at CTL. He serves as Project Manager of the MIT LIFT Lab and as a lecturer for Tecnológico de Monterrey and the MIT GCLOG. His professional and research interests include increasing the survival of micro and small businesses in emerging markets (https://liftlab.mit.edu/), creating high-performance technology-based operations in nanostores, and developing solutions for improving the efficiency of last-mile distribution in emerging megacities via loading/unloading areas (https://ezparking.mx/).
He holds an MSc in Engineering Sciences and a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Monterrey Tech and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences at the same institution. He received the "Best master's thesis of Mexico 2020" award from the Mexican Logistics and Supply Chain Association
He has more than 12 years of experience in supply chain management, entrepreneurship, and the use of technology. His professional background is in the real estate, food & beverages, retail, energy, recycling, and technology industries in Mexico, Colombia, and Canada. He is a host of the "Emerging Market Retail Podcast" podcast.
