Postdoctoral Associate

Dr. Andrés Muñoz-Villamizar is a Postdoctoral Associate at the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics. He has over six years teaching experience in Operations management as an assistant professor in the School of Economics and Management Sciences at Universidad de La Sabana, Colombia. Currently, he collaborates with the MIT Sustainable Logistics Initiative which involves research projects on green logistics sponsored by multinational companies, with the purpose of improving fuel consumption and CO2 emissions in logistics operations.

Dr. Muñoz-Villamizar holds a Ph.D degree in Applied Engineering from Tecnun – Universidad de Navarra, Spain. He holds a master degree in Operations Management from Universidad de La Sabana and an Industrial Engineering degree from Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito, Colombia. His research interests are related to supply chain management under collaborative and sustainable environments, simulation and optimization of logistics, production systems and transportation.
