Crossroads 2009 - Managing Supply Chains in Turbulent Times

March 26, 2009
MIT
Cambridge, MA

Now in its fifth year, Crossroads makes the connection between supply chain management and corporate strategy. The mission has never been more important, as a deepening recession redefines the way companies do business.

Crossroads 2009: On March 26, over 150 executives convened on the campus of MIT for Crossroads 2009 to examine the ways in which the global economic crisis is affecting supply chain performance, strategy, and practice.  The sessions were designed to address key questions such as "How will the crisis change the way supply chains are designed and managed in the long term?"  and "How is the supply chain community responding to the global economic meltdown?"

The conference began with an overview of the current crisis: why it happened, how it happened, and how it may unfold.  The session then explored how the downturn has impacted supply chains worldwide, via panel discussion among practitioners, breakout sessions on ways to survive the downturn, and then practitioner insights on how to use the crisis as an opportunity to achieve positive change.

The proceedings are available to CTL Partners via the CTL Partner Gateway under Proceedings.
