Topic: Challenges and Opportunities in the WalMart Logistics Network

Bio:
Chris Sultemeier is the executive vice president of logistics for Walmart U.S. He has operating responsibility for general merchandise, fashion, grocery, Sam's Club, import, and specialty distribution centers. He also has operating responsibility for all domestic and global ocean transportation functions. He was promoted to executive vice president in 2012.

Chris previously served as senior vice president of transportation services, where he was responsible for all domestic transportation, the Walmart private fleet, and global transportation.  Since joining Walmart in 1989, Chris has also served as vice president of transportation, regional vice president of logistics, vice president of Sam’s Club distribution, vice president of Sam’s Club merchandise support and logistics project manager for new construction design and support.

Chris currently serves on the boards of directors of Fellowship of Christian Athletes for Northwest Arkansas, Veterans Resource Council at the University of Arkansas, and the Arkansas Trucking Association.  Prior to joining Walmart, Chris served in the U.S. Army as a captain. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a degree in mechanical engineering.
