Joonbum Lee is a postdoctoral research associate at the MIT. Dr. Lee's research focuses on driver distraction and predictive models of visual attention. He received a BA and an MA in Psychology (Engineering Psychology) from Pusan National University (South Korea), and received an MS and a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering (Human Factors) from University of Wisconsin-Madison. His doctoral study focused on developing a computational model to assess driver distraction of vehicle displays by integrating a saliency-based model and a cognitive architecture. Dr. Lee currently conducts analyses on drivers’ head pose and eye movement to evaluate visual distraction.
