Eng Larsson is a Postdoctoral Associate at the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics. He holds a Ph.D. from Lund University, Sweden, where he also received a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management. He has been a Fulbright scholar at University of California, Los Angeles, and Erasmus scholar at ETH Zurich, Swtizerland. Prior to joining MIT, he was Acting Assistant Professor at Stockholm Business School.
Dr. Eng Larsson’s dissertation investigated how firms with sustainability policies could incentivize carriers to make investments to reduce the environmental footprint of their supply chains. In his research he has collaborated with firms such as McKinsey & Co., Volvo, and Bring Frigo, as well as government agencies such as the Swedish Transport Administration and the Swedish Energy Agency. Lately, he has initiated research in health care operations and on the value of information in supply chains. His work has been published by the OECD and in journals including the European Journal of Operational Research and Transport Policy.
