Ahmad Hemmati is a Postdoctoral Associate at the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics. He holds a PhD in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway. He has previously been a Visiting Scholar working with Professor Gilbert Laporte at the Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise Networks, Logistics and Transportation (CIRRELT), Montréal, Canada. He also holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic, Tehran, Iran.
Dr. Hemmati has published several papers in journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, Computers & Operations Research, and Expert Systems with Applications. He has been a member of the Norwegian Operations Research Society and worked as a member of the DOMinant II project: “Discrete Optimization Methods in Maritime and Road-based Transport II”. He serves as reviewer for several scientific journals (e.g. Computers & Operations Research and Computers & Industrial Engineering).
